Call for book chapters on big data analytics
Date: May 30, 2016 09:06AM

Below I repost a call-for-chapters that I have received in my e-mails. It looks interesting as chapters will be published by a good editor (CRC Press).

Respected Professor/Researcher,

Book chapter proposal are invited for the edited book titled “Bigdata Analytics: Tools, Technology for Effective Planning” to be published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group (

During last decade, human being is interacting with so many devices, which creates huge amount of data in the form of Video from surveillance system, Voice data from any call centre about particular client/human to handle popularly. These data are Structured, Semi-structured and mostly Unstructured, and collectively known as Bigdata.

As the Netizens put information on several social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, these data, if tapped properly, such data could play a vital role in Healthcare, Education, Administration and Business planning. Bigdata requires specialized methods to store, retrieve and analyse using traditional data management tools due to their size and complexity.
The goal of the proposed book is to deliberate upon the various research issues, tools, technology and research trends for tapping into the hidden potentials of Bigdata.

There will be 20-22 chapters in the following aspects of Bigdata:

1. Challenges in Bigdata
2. Bigdata Analytics and Planning
3. Bigdata Analytics and Visualization
4. Bigdata Reference Model
5. Bigdata Cluster Analysis
6. Bigdata Predictive Modelling
7. Bigdata Analytics Tools and Technologies
8. NoSQL for Bigdata Analytics
9. Trends and Emerging Technologies in Bigdata Analytics
10. Data Ecosystem
11. Bigdata Storage and Retrieval: Technologies, Tools, Algorithm
12. Application Development Frameworks
13. Uses Cases
14. Bigdata Approach to the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences
15. Research Trends in Bigdata Analytics
16. Hands On/Tutorials on Bigdata Analytics Tools
