Artificial Intelligence is all about creating and developing machines that act, behave, react and work like human beings themselves. These machines are designed in such a brilliant manner that they are capable of performing activities like Speech Recognition, Learning, Planning, Problem Solving etc.

Artificial intelligence refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving.

Artificial Intelligence is a subject of Computer Science aimed at making machines and computers that can enhance logical operations. AI systems can execute tasks naturally connected with human intelligence, like speech identification, decision-making, visual attention, and translating languages. For more visit here: NO SPAM

AI shouldn’t stop at reaching the human level it must go beyond the capabilities of humans for it to reach its peak potential.
Definition:
To be franker there are too many definitions some common of them are as follows.
The ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings.
A machine completing the tasks which involve a certain degree of intelligence which was previously deemed only to be done by humans
Is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning, reasoning, and self-correction.
The capability of a machine to imitate the intelligent human behavior
All the definitions above are correct, but what it really boils down to is “how close or how well a computer can imitate or go beyond, when compared to human being”
Types of Artificial Intelligence (AI):
AI can be classified in any number of ways there are two types of main classification.
Type1:
Weak AI or Narrow AI: It is focused on one narrow task, the phenomenon that machines which are not too intelligent to do their own work can be built in such a way that they seem smart. An example would be a poker game where a machine beats human where in which all rules and moves are fed into the machine. Here each and every possible scenario need to be entered beforehand manually. Each and every weak AI will contribute to the building of strong AI.
Strong AI: The machines that can actually think and perform tasks on its own just like a human being. There are no proper existing examples for this but some industry leaders are very keen on getting close to build a strong AI which has resulted in rapid progress.
Type2(based on functionalities):
Reactive Machines: This is one of the basic forms of AI. It doesn’t have past memory and cannot use past information to information for the future actions. Example:- IBM chess program that beat Garry Kasparov in the 1990s.
Limited Memory: artificial intelligence systems can use past experiences to inform future decisions. Some of the decision-making functions in self-driving cars have been designed this way. Observations used to inform actions happening in the not so distant future, such as a car that has changed lanes. These observations are not stored permanently and also Apple’s Chatbot Siri.
Theory of Mind: This type of AI should be able to understand people’s emotion, belief, thoughts, expectations and be able to interact socially Even though a lot of improvements are there in this field this kind of AI is not complete yet.
Self-awareness: An AI that has it’s own conscious, super intelligent, self-awareness and sentient (In simple words a complete human being). Of course, this kind of bot also doesn’t exist and if achieved it will be one of the milestones in the field of AI.
There are many ways AI can be achived some of them are as follows:

The most important among them are as follows:
Machine Learning (ML): It is a method where the target(goal) is defined and the steps to reach that target is learned by the machine itself by training(gaining experience). For example to identify a simple object such as an apple or orange. The target is achieved not by explicitly specifying the details about it and coding it but it is just as we teach a child by showing multiple different pictures of it and therefore allowing the machine to define the steps to identify it like an apple or an orange.
Natural Language Processing (NLP): Natural Language Processing is broadly defined as the automatic manipulation of natural language, like speech and text, by software. One of the well-known examples of this is email spam detection as we can see how it has improved in our mail system.
Vision: It can be said as a field which enables the machines to see. Machine vision captures and analyses visual information using a camera, analog-to-digital conversion, and digital signal processing. It can be compared to human eyesight but it is not bound by the human limitation which can enable it to see through walls(now that would be interesting if we can have implants that can make us see through the wall). It is usually achieved through machine learning to get the best possible results so we could say that these two fields are interlinked.
Robotics: It is a field of engineering focused on the design and manufacturing of robots. Robots are often used to perform tasks that are difficult for humans to perform or perform consistently. Examples include car assembly lines, in hospitals, office cleaner, serving foods, and preparing foods in hotels, patrolling farm areas and even as police officers. Recently machine learning has been used to achieve certain good results in building robots that interact socially(Sophia)
Autonomous Vehicles: This area of AI has gathered a lot of attention. the list of vehicles includes cars, buses, trucks, trains, ships, submarines, and autopilot flying drones etc.

In general term, Artificial Intelligence refers to a machine which mimics human cognition. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a transformation in itself, and it is crippling fast into all facets of our lives and across industries. The fact remains that every company needs an AI-based application that will help them sustain their business model for the future generation. Artificial Intelligence is a technology that enables machines to imitate human behavior

While discussing about Artificial Intelligence we also need to stumble upon ML as well to get broad idea.

Machine learning is one of the concepts of AI that enables machines to learn without descriptive programming to do so.

A branch of artificial intelligence, machine learning is a term coined by a computer scientist and a machine learning pioneer Tom M Mitchell. And in his words – machine learning is essentially a study of computer algorithms, which allow computer programs to improve on their own through past experiences. Machine learning, is one of the ways to achieve AI in machines by examining and comparing both large and small data sets and then finding common patterns.

And AI on the other hand, is a science and engineering of making machines behave in a way that earlier required human intelligence.

I dont really agree. A machine can be "intelligent" without having to imitate human behavior. Even, a machine might be more intelligent if it does not behave like a human. Besides, there are other types of intelligence like animals, etc.

Where can I learn boosting algorithms after Intro to ML Course?
Artificial intelligence is much more than just a trend. Within the current business environment, it’s turning into an amazing tool for automating processes and optimizing resources. Can you briefly tell us what artificial intelligence is?
When we talk about artificial intelligence, the first thing that comes to mind is a machine that imitates cognitive functions of “intelligent beings,” such as reasoning, learning, or problem solving. If you are interested to do course then visit to CETPA online service site.

As An engineer, AI in my undersatnding...

I engineer AI for a living. As such, I have come to understand that AI are incomparable to human behavior patterns. Other AI engineers like me,tend to call these programs as zombies. Machine Learning sees us interacting with these shells of basic interaction, which rarely amount to anything more than "basic", in my opinion.

I also think that AI system are not very sophisticated right now.... They are good at task like classifying images etc. Still a lot of research need to be done to solve complex problems.

To engineer AI at even the basic of level, one needs a deep and comprehensive knowledge of computers and coding. The way that a pet learns a set amount of commands, which rarely amount for anything beyond his context of understanding, an AI bot only knows what it's function is - nothing more, nothing less. In a way, we engineer AI to outsource work, they almost never do anything beyond it.
